My personal and artistic focus is on slowing down to appreciate the small and fleeting moments in nature and life. It’s my quiet way of withdrawing from the hurried world and taking comfort in the cute and wonderful things around me. I also love all things cozy and seek to recreate that feeling in my artwork. To me, a cozy moment is a fall hike in the woods on a cloudy afternoon, a bright winter morning after fresh snow or a warm breeze in the summer evening. By creating art, I hope to share in this comfort and wonder with others who also need a break from our fast-moving and detached world.
